Description

Goose's ideal home

3-year-old Goose is a Greyhound and now looking for his forever home. This lovely lad can live with other sighthounds ( pending a successful dog mix here at the centre) and with children 8+. Due to the breed, he cannot live in a home with cats or other small furies. Goose is a super friendly boy with people and adores human company. He is housetrained within his kennel although the odd accident is to be expected when settling into his new home. Goose can be left for 1-4hrs, but any leaving hours will need to be built up. Ongoing car travel training will be needed as he is not used to car travel.

Could you be Goose's perfect match?

Goose has a lovely temperament who loves to go on a new adventure out and about. After an adventure he loves nothing more than to snooze the rest of the day away in a fluffy bed, or snuggle up next to you with his head on your lap. He enjoys being around other dogs of similar breeds and is partial to the odd zoomie so a secure area, private secure garden would be beneficial. Goose takes treats nicely and enjoys playing. This lad is every greyhound lovers dream and would be a great addition to any family.

Greyhound Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
