Description

Orion's ideal home

Meet our handsome boy, Orion. He's a stunning and sweet 2 year old Greyhound who is ready to find a sofa to curl up on! Orion is a super friendly boy, often found leaning into his carers for fuss and attention. He's enjoys his walkies and as a ex racer, he wears his muzzle out and about but he doesn't mind and knows just how fabulous he looks! Orion could share his home with another similar breed to his and we're currently still assessing his interactions with other dogs, but he isn't reactive out on his walks. He could share his home with children 6+ who are confident with larger dogs and he loves to zoom around in the sand compounds here at the centre. He loves his snacks and is always trying to sniff out some tasty treats. Orion will need all his basic training in his new home, including housetraining and we recommend any time being left is gradually built up with things to keep him busy.

Could you be Orion's perfect match?

Orion is a sweet lad who is ready to find out what home life is all about. He loves a comfy spot for a snooze and lots of snuggles from his carers.

Greyhound Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
