Description

Josh's ideal home

Gentle giant, Josh, steals the hearts of all whom he encounters. He entered our care through no fault of his own, after his previous owner sadly passed away. This senior sweetheart is now hopeful to find a relaxing retirement home, with a loving family, who could offer him plenty of TLC and the home comforts he is missing. Josh will need to be the only pet at home, as he’d prefer to have all the attention to himself and can be selective of which dogs he likes. Being an older boy, he’d best be suited to a home where the youngest family members are of secondary-school age. A home with minimal steps to contend with is needed, as Josh’s long legs aren’t what they used to be.

Could you be Josh's perfect match?

Josh is calm in nature, goofy in expression, and large in stature. So, in a nutshell, he’s a big loveable goofball who is ready to meet his match! He’s an endearing senior chap who loves nothing more than lounging in the company of his people pals, receiving their affection, and lapping up the compliments! He’s particularly fond of sofa snuggles, so would enjoy a home where he is allowed on the furniture and able to be close to his humans. While he may not be able to walk too far, Josh does enjoy a good sniff about in interesting new places. If you would like more information about adopting any of our dogs, or you are considering a variety of dogs and would like our team’s help to find your pawfect match, we would love you to visit us at our rehoming centre to chat with us in person. Greyhound Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
